Tanning Bed Rent-To-Own Financing Arrangements

When you go into a deal to own a tanning bed by first leasing it, and then purchasing it at the end of the lease period, you are in some ways more restricted than if you arranged your own financing through a bank or other financial institution. On the other hand, tanning bed rent-to-own deals do have some advantages that make them appealing to both businesses and individuals alike.

Leasing tanning beds then buying them at the end has more advantages for businesses, where the costs of commercial equipment is higher. This allows those businesses to maintain their cash flow, and keep hold of their capitol. Businesses can get tax benefits from such an arrangement.

Both businesses and individuals who get a tanning bed in a rent-to-own scheme generally find it much easier to get approval than if they went to a bank. And if you don't have a credit card, you have bad credit, or for whatever reason cannot use your existing credit cards, then this might be your best option to get a tanning bed.

However, if you have good credit, and are able to get a loan, there are a lot of reasons why that would be a far better option than using a tanning bed, rent-to-own broker to arrange the finance. The lease terms of this arrangement are usually more expensive, simply because you have 'middlemen' involved in the process - middlemen who, more often than not, get a commission from the deal. That commission price is usually built back into the cost of the tanning bed, particularly if you organize such a leasing-to-buy deal from a tanning bed store.

There are other restrictions in tanning bed rent-to-own deals. Usually, you are then committed to getting a tanning bed from the shop you arranged the finance through. Unlike a regular bank loan, you don't have the opportunity to look for a better deal elsewhere. Of course, if you have bad credit and you still want a tanning bed, then this may be your only option.

Another thing to check before you commit yourself to a leasing deal, is whether you can pay off your lease early, or refinance. In many cases, you cannot. This is important to check.

You can find tanning bed rent-to-own arrangements online, though companies like Wolff tanning beds, or you can check your local stores. Either way, make sure you read the fine print and make sure the arrangement is of benefit to you before you rush in.

An alternative to buying a tanning bed through a rent-to-own scheme is to get a second hand tanning bed. Like fitness equipment, tanning beds are sometimes bought, used for a while, then once the novelty has worn off, lie in someone's home gathering dust! It's worth checking places like ebay and your local paper to see if there are any good deals available.

If you've got the room in your house, and the money, having your own tanning bed is a wonderful luxury. And if you are a regular at a tanning salon, then it could save you money in the long term.
